The checkboxes are only there to provide a way to mark
the directories if need be. Outside of that, they do
nothing. Each directory will open in a new window. You
can download the list in a text file HERE,
or display it in your browser HERE.
I've bought and used many directory submitting
software programs, truth be known, the fastest way I've
found to submit to directories is by using a page like
this, and FIREFOX with an extension called InFormEnter.
InFormEnter
places a little box beside every form. You just click the
little box, a menu pops up and you click on the line you
want to enter into the form. You can have as many
profiles as you want so making one for each of the sites
you're trying to promote is a snap.
If you insist on using Internet Explorer, there are
many clipboard programs you can use to fill forms
quickly. Clipboard programs have seemed to work better
for me because the forms on all the different directories
won't have the same names. Form fillers frequently insert
the wrong information or no information. None of the
clipboard programs I've seen has been as quick or handy
as InFormEnter when it comes to directory submission, but
then again, Firefox is my favorite browser. A free
example of these clipboard programs is M8 Multi Clipboard.
Directories are frequently being put up, taken down,
going from free to reciprocal, or from reciprocal to pay.
Keeping up with these changes is a hard task. We're
almost finished with a small program called 'Directory
Navigator' that will help you sort the big lists that
will be available on this page. It will help you submit
quickly, keep track of which directories you've submitted
to, which ones you have to follow up on, which ones are
free, paid or reciprocal, etc. It will generate lists of
the directories you've marked for each category and it
will allow you to work with just one group if you wish.
It will have the capacity to handle several profiles so
you can work with several sites. It will also have the
capacity to add directories and delete the ones you don't
want listed so you can maintain your own list if you
want. The more information about Directory Navigator can
be found HERE.
It will most likely be released before September of 2006.
